Today gives us a partial lunar eclipse in with a Full Moon in Capricorn. This week has been heavy with all sorts of energy already, and any time the moon lands in Capricorn, I feel a strong invitation to ground myself. To get outside, take a long look at my daily actions and activities, and see where I could use more structure. This moon is no different, but with our Cancer New Moon earlier in the month and this mercury retrograde we’re currently in, this Capricorn Moon also calls us to do less. To observe first, and react if we need to. We shouldn’t need to look for things to release. I know for me, everything that’s risen to the surface has done so because it’s ready for me to let it go. Full Moons always hold a release component, but this time, it doesn’t involve a lot of extra work. Reoccurring themes are showing themselves for a reason. It’s up to us to recognize the pattern and liberate ourselves accordingly.

This spread made so so so much sense to me. We’re collectively realizing we can’t wish our way through things. We’re understanding what true manifestation is. It’s become such a buzzword, we’ve almost forgotten there’s a lot of work involved. And much of that work is taking care of ourselves in the most bodily of ways. Eating well, sleeping, connecting to people and places that give us a sense of peace. Stepping away from distractions and making space for habits of longevity. It doesn’t come without some stickiness though. I know this week I’ve personally experienced outbursts, anger, and rising tensions, especially in work scenarios. Lack mindset, fear over metrics, and “what if” worries can dominate our thoughts. If other people are coming at you projecting their fears, take a minute to recognize that’s exactly what it is. Their fear. Not a representation of you, your truth, or your reality. If we can listen before we react, organize our thoughts to respond peacefully, we’ll be better heard in the long run. Let someone else look crazy, and know that if you can hold your ground, you’ll be just fine. This is a HUGE call to rest. Put down your sword, and reorganize your plans. This is also a big awakening to keep exploring the things that are singular. Things that we produce on our own. Sometime’s we really need an external opinion, but this is not one of those times. If you’re feeling surrounded by outside noise, get somewhere where you can clearly hear yourself. This doesn’t need to be a big practice though. Let yourself just rest, just be, and sink into things that are soothing. This brings us around to a place of letting go of the need to change. Just as we can’t wish our way out of and through things, we can’t force change. The feeling of wanting to push and grind and being busy for the sake of being busy is being out behind us. This is a chance to identify the difference between anxiety and discomfort. I think we’ve gotten to a place where we want to label our feelings right away, and “anxiety” has become a catch all for any time we feel uncomfortable. Of course it is necessary to remove ourselves from toxic situations, but it’s important to recognize the difference between things that are harmful to us vs things we don’t want to deal with. We won’t always be able to cut things (or people) off cold turkey. Part of the lesson is learning how to care for ourselves when we’re in uncomfortable situations. Working through it instead of forcing the change or pretending it doesn’t exist.

This Full Moon brings everything to light. Every discomfort, fear, disagreement, and after the dust has settled, it brings solution. Don’t be afraid to really listen today, we’ll hear everything we need to.
