Taurus Moodcollage & Playlist
I never did one of these to follow the Taurus Astrochat from last season, and I figured better a year late than never at all, and we are in Taurus Season again…I woke up this morning, post Taurus New Moon and felt so fully myself. I didn’t do any sort of ritual or anything last night. No tarot spread, no manifesting. But this morning I felt amazing, totally in my body, so incredibly grateful for breath in my lungs and movement in my limbs. I sat outside for 4 hours yesterday. Just reading. Filling up with sunshine. I have tan lines in my stomach rolls lol, my midsection all striped like a bronzed zebra. It felt like heaven. I can’t wait to do it again today. I’m trying to soak up every good feeling day as wholly as I possibly can. I’m going to sit on my balcony in my swimsuit and listen to this playlist and do nothing else this afternoon. I intend to entirely embrace the sweet Venusian Taurean energy currently in the air.
This playlist is more or less “Taurus Sun’s Greatest Hits” with the exception of the Fall Out Boy song I chose. I picked that one because it makes me feel 15 again. I used to get really anxious making these playlists because I felt like I needed to show someone something hidden. An artist’s undiscovered gem of a song, hidden deep in their catalogue. Something for real fans. This time around, as I was clicking through different songs by all of these artists, I felt all the things that made their songs popular. I remembered being in my car screeching out Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” with tears in my eyes and phlegm in my throat post breakup. I remembered how fucking hip I thought Mac Demarco was the first time I heard him, “Salad Days” a summer of tanning and weed. Billy Joel’s “Always a Woman” thinking maybe I’ll be that woman one day. They’re just good songs, even if we’ve all heard them a million times.
